Liquid Aeration for DFW Lawns
North Texas clay compacts. When it does, water and nutrients stop reaching the root zone. Liquid Aeration opens that soil back up with no plugs, no flags, and no disruption to your lawn.
The Problem
Compaction starves your roots
Soil here in North Texas is naturally prone to compaction. When soil becomes compacted, water and nutrients have a harder time reaching the root zone.
Compaction also restricts root growth. Shallower roots mean a lawn that is far more vulnerable to summer heat, drought, and other environmental stress, which is exactly when a DFW lawn is under the most pressure.
How It Works
We open the soil without opening up your lawn
Liquid Aeration is a non-invasive way to relieve soil compaction and improve how water and nutrients move through the soil.
You get the benefits of traditional core aeration without the flags, the prep work, or the plugs left scattered across your yard. We apply it, and your lawn looks the same the moment we leave.
LIQUID VS. CORE
Why we moved to liquid aeration
Core aeration works by mechanically pulling plugs of soil out of the ground. It is effective, but it comes with real tradeoffs: marking sprinkler heads, prep before the appointment, and a lawn covered in plugs for a week or two afterward.
Liquid Aeration delivers the same outcome, better water and nutrient movement through the root zone, without any of that.
| Core Aeration | Liquid Aeration | |
|---|---|---|
| Prep required | Mark sprinkler heads, flag irrigation | None |
| After the visit | Plugs on the surface for 1 to 2 weeks | Lawn looks untouched |
| Pre-emergent timing | Can disrupt the weed barrier | Safe before or after |
| Frequency | Once or twice a year | Three times a year |
Timing
It works around your pre-emergent, not against it
This is the part most homeowners do not know to ask about.
Liquid Aeration can be applied before or after your fall pre-emergent treatment without disturbing the pre-emergent barrier. That means we keep continuous weed protection in place while keeping your lawn on schedule, instead of choosing between aerating and staying protected.
Core aeration forces that choice. Liquid Aeration does not.
Why It Matters
Healthy roots, healthy shoots
Above ground reflects what's below. Earthworms naturally till soil, and organic fertilizers boost their population, enhancing aeration and our organic program.

The Thumb Test
Here is how to check your own soil
Press your thumb into the soil. It should compress. If there is little or no give, there are no air pockets left to compress, and that is your sign the root zone needs attention.
-
Healthy Soil (gives easily)
-
Compacted Soil (little or no give)
Better Together
Aeration opens the door. Liquid compost walks through it.
Liquid Aeration improves how things move through your soil. The Soil Building Program is what moves through it: liquid compost, living microbes, and nutrients reaching the root zone instead of sitting on the surface.
Aeration on its own helps. Aeration paired with soil treatment is what changes a lawn.
WHAT'S INCLUDED
Three applications a year, handled for you
The Liquid Aeration Program includes three applications spread across the year. That is ongoing soil conditioning rather than a single annual event, which is what it takes to maintain a healthier, more productive root zone in clay soil.
The program renews automatically with your Lawn Care Program, so there is nothing to schedule and nothing to remember.

Common Questions
Lawn Care FAQs — DFW
Quick answers to what DFW homeowners ask us most often.
-
It achieves the same goal, relieving compaction so water and nutrients reach the root zone. The difference is method. Core aeration removes plugs mechanically. Liquid Aeration works through the soil without physically disturbing it, and because we apply it three times a year instead of once, the conditioning is ongoing rather than a single event.
-
No. There are no plugs, no holes, and no flags. Your lawn looks the same after the application as it did before.
-
No. There is no need to mark sprinkler heads or flag drip irrigation, which is one of the main reasons we moved to this method.
-
No. Liquid Aeration can be applied before or after your fall pre-emergent without disturbing the barrier, so your weed protection stays continuous.

Give your soil room to work
Liquid Aeration is an add-on to the Soil Building Program. We will review your soil and tell you honestly whether you need it.
