Program Add-On
Drought Buster: Make Your Watering Go Further
Knock out drought stress and make your watering more effective this summer. Drought Buster is designed to maximise your irrigation efficiency and keep your lawn hydrated, even in intense heat. Drought Buster is an add-on to the Soil Building Program.
How It Works
Two treatments, working together
Every program starts with a property inspection to identify and eliminate breeding grounds. Standing water is the root of the problem, and finding it is half the work.
-
Hydretain
Hydretain — a granular application that acts like tiny water magnets, pulling moisture into the soil and delivering it directly to plant roots instead of losing it to evaporation.
-
Dispatch
Dispatch — a liquid aeration application that enhances water penetration and infiltration, so every drop counts.
This is golf-course technology, applied to DFW residential lawns.
Why It Matters
Watering restrictions are not going away
By 2040 DFW will be home to 10 million people in 4 million homes, using an average of 200,000 gallons of water a year each — nearly half of it on lawn irrigation. As restrictions tighten, the lawns that survive are the ones that use what they are given. Drought Buster is how you get more out of less water.
Scheduling
Ahead of the heat, not during it
Drought Buster works best applied before summer stress sets in rather than as an emergency response to a lawn already burning out. We will recommend timing based on the season and the condition of your landscape when we assess it. If your lawn is already in drought stress, tell us — we will treat it, and we will also be straight with you about what one application can and cannot undo.
Better Together
It works because the soil underneath is working
Drought Buster helps water get in and stay available. The Soil Building Program is what gives roots somewhere to go once it does. On compacted clay with four-inch roots, better infiltration only helps so much — the two together are what get you through August.
Make your water go further
We'll assess your trees along with your lawn and tell you which ones would actually benefit.
